The Director, Leo Miller, was born and educated in England and qualified as a Civil Engineer in 1996. With his Bachelor of Engineering degree he spent a few years working for a major international engineering company on multi-million pound projects including a water filtration facility and national exhibition centre. By the age of 23 he was already supervising the building of a block of flats in west London.

In 2000 he moved to Poland to work as an architect. Not only did he learn the language but he designed and built a number of tunnels, bridges and houses both in Poland and in Germany.

On returning to the UK in 2003 he set up Datum Design and Build in order to bring together his passion for design and his practical skills in the building process. The combination of his rich experiences has enabled him to create a "user-friendly" design and build service that is unrivalled in the UK.
