Junior Squash
We are very proud to have Sarah-Jane Perry, European Junior Individual Champion 2009 as one of our own. Congratulations to her, and best of luck in your senior career SJ.
Congrats should also go to Chloe Pearson, European Team Gold winner in the Under 15s, and Chris Fuller, a Silver winner in the Team Under 19s.

- Club Junior Championship results 2009

This year’s junior club championships, saw the fullest set of events in Kenilworth’s history. Indeed I challenge anyone to find a club in the country to have a fuller set. Every age group from Under 11 to Under 19, boys and girls was staged with the exception of an under 17 girls’ event. The standard was second to none in the Midlands, even without Chloe Pearson, busy winning a European Under 15 Team Gold Medal for England in Spain, and Chris Fuller – England Under 19 International – preferring to dominate the senior event instead.
Special mentions go to Stars of the Future Dan Cochrane and Olivia Gow, for tremendous displays, and Sam Bailey and Harry Rogers for a high class Boys’ Under 11. Faye Deakin proving too strong in the girls’ 13 event and Jon Holden winning the boys’ 15 event as perhaps the most improved.
Bella Doxey played her first competitive matches and handled herself with credit, poise and a smile in the final of the Girls’ U11. SJ Perry won the Girls’ U19 and Open 19 events beating Guy Pearson in a titanic match, without doubt the match of the night. Other winners were Sophie Broome, Faye Deakin, Sam Bailey, and Rees Herrod.
Another feature of the Kenilworth Finals night that was upheld this year was the sportsmanship, behaviour and general demeanour of all those who participated. They are a credit to themselves and the club and they should be proud.
All the runners up, though not mentioned above played well and with spirit. May they gain revenge next year!

Kenilworth Junior Squash Section is one of the strongest in the country, boasting four regional champions, many England top 10 ranked players, over 100 active juniors and a thriving "mini-squash" section.
Regular sessions every week, along with other special events and matches, with coaching by fully qualified England Squash coaches are just some of the opportunities available to juniors in our section.
New members are welcome. You do not need to have played before to come to the coaching sessions.
Junior squash clubnight is each Friday, from 7:00pm.

Junior squash coaching runs on Saturday mornings throughout the season. Children are assessed and allocated to the appropriate group according to age and ability.
Times:
9:00am to 10:00am - Junior coaching for 5 to 9 year olds.
10:00am to 11:00am - Junior coaching for 10+ year olds.
11:00am to 12:00 noon - Junior coaching for 11+ age group.Junior squash coaching season tickets, which cost £30 each (£5 discount per child after first child), allow unlimited access to the relevant coaching sessions for the season.
Development squash coaching for 9+ year olds is on Tuesday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Advanced squash coaching for 12+ year olds takes place on Wednesdays from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.
