Junior Tennis
Around 300 juniors are now involved in tennis coaching programmes at the Club. James Roe, our coach, provides a good all-round introduction to tennis for youngsters of all abilities.
In addition, Junior Tennis Camp sessions are held during school holidays. Coaching is in appropriate age groups.

Kenilworth Boys win Warwickshire Doubles League

Tom Holmes and Nico Rosser of Kenilworth Tennis Club have won the Warwickshire Boys Under 16 doubles league final.
They played a pair from Coleshill Tennis Club in the final between the South Warwickshire and North Warwickshire Winners and came out on top by the excellent score of 6-1 6-0. There were some long games, but the Kenilworth boys always appeared in control, playing excellent tennis in a very sporting match.
Nico served extremely well and his volleys were always consistent. Tom played some fantastic ground shots and was also on form with his serving.
The pair got this far by beating a team from Alcester in the South Warwickshire final (see below).
This was the first time they had played doubles together and their understanding as a doubles grew during the run up to the Final in the preliminary rounds. Tom, in fact, played up an age group. Needless to say, both boys were delighted with the win!
Kenilworth Boys 100% record for 3rd year in a row!

The Kenilworth Under 14A Boys team has just finished the 2006 season with another 100% record in the National Junior League. This is the third year in a row that they have achieved this feat.
The team this year was; Tom Holmes; Hugh Shuttleworth; Simon Haddleton, with Declan Simmons acting as reserve for one game.

to Tom Holmes and Nico Rosser on winning the Boys U16 South Warwickshire Doubles League against Alcester ‘A’ recently at Warwick Boat Club.
Tom and Nico now face the winners from the North Warwickshire league on 15th October, again at Warwick Boat Club, to determine the overall Warwickshire winners.
