At DHL, Wordfair provided project management and business analysis services to two projects within the Oracle Financial Migration programme.
DHL, a global market leader in the international express and logistics industry, were creating a common Oracle based platform for their UK financial systems, following their acquisition of the Securicor UK Distribution business.
The services provided by Wordfair were:
(1) project management with two third party companies to scope and specify upgrade work for Oracle Financial Analyzer and Business Objects applications, agreeing commercials and subsequently managing their development work through to successful user acceptance test, as part of a larger overall project implementation schedule
(2) business requirements analysis to define a replacement strategy for a number of existing HOLOS management information systems which had become obsolete with the implementation of the new Oracle financials system
The project was managed using Prince 2 methodology. The assignment was successfully completed to the customer’s satisfaction. Client references can be provided on request.
